True...However, SS can be fixed. The government could actually start putting our contributions in trust (not IOUs) and invest money in the market (managed by the private sector). Actually, over 10 years, the investment would be so sizable and given the conservative nature of the government's requirements, SS would serve as a stabilizing factor to the market.
