Gottfried, Brian and threaders, Have you read Michail Crichton's book, "Prey." I saw Crichton on the Charley Rose show a couple of weeks ago where he stressed that in the 21 century would be the convergence of nanotechnology, biotechnology and computer, IT. Then, today, I was reading an article in US World Report stressing the same and how Silicom Valley possibly will be the area of development. Have any of you heard or have knowledge and how this will benefit or not benefit AMAT" Crichton stressed that INTC and IBM are the leaders in nanotechnology research and that there will be an explosion in this area during the next 10 years/

What are you thoughts snd possible investment opportunities in the convergence of nanotechnology, biogenetic and IT?

**OT**

If anyone ever gets a chance to "do" Times Square on New Years, I would heartily recommend it. It was one of the best times I have ever had. The people were crazy....but it was a controlled crazy. And the people who were drunk were far fewer than I ever expected. Part of this had to do with the way it was set up I think. They corralled a given number of people in pens starting at about 3:00 or so and one you were in your pen, there was no leaving it or else you could not get back in. Even bathroom breaks were not allowed. This type of setup is not conducive to heavy drinking.

We did not get to see Dick Clark on any of the monitors; I thought that was quite curious. Because they broadcast the 6:30 news on NBC, I think it probably has something to do with rights.

I had thought this would be an experience to simply wipe off my to-do list, but I would go back again in a heartbeat.
