Yeah, Barton got large amounts of abuse when he first started that "I want to sell a kidney" thread. I think most people thought it was a joke and treated him as one. He took a lot of abuse and left SI in response to it.

And then, because in his mind he could see no alternative, he killed himself, first killing some of those he held responsible and some innocents.

Always a bad decision. Life will almost always give you a second chance if you but ask for it and take it.

Had he lived and not committed his crime, he might have been forced into bankruptcy and lost a big chunk of his property. But the intelligence, strength, and will that got it for him in the first place would have done so again. He was a fairly young man- -late 30's, I believe. He had time, had he allowed himself to have time.
