"The really depressing thing about much of the far left's arguments is not that they are reflexively anti-Bush, which is not surprising, but that there are so simple-minded. They sound like the arguments of a teenager who has never thought about foreign policy before."

Largely correct Nadine but i would caution those of us on the "right" or should i say in the right<gg> not to adopt the old condenscending ivory tower view that the liberal professors and intellectuals display toward us. A go-slow policy with iraq is not a teenage argument for the intelligent among the folks that make it. Many democrats make a fair case. They dont convince me but war is not always the answer. Its funny that i fall with this camp on North Korea where the hard right might accuse me of appeasement. Many shades of grey in all of this and perhaps some arguments from both camps can work at the same time. For example I love this good cop/bad cop Bush admin public face. They have used it successfully in iraq and perhaps can employ it in korea as well. Mike
PS I re-read the article by the arab woman that you posted earlier. It is touching but not really pertinent as most Arab woman in her situation direct their hatred at israel and jews. Of course there is truth in what she says but there is also truth in the fact that Arabs will never be able to look at israel with reason until the occupation ends and the occupation wont end until they do so.
