A go-slow policy with iraq is not a teenage argument for the intelligent among the folks that make it. Many democrats make a fair case. They dont convince me but war is not always the answer

Oh, I have said many times that there are adult arguments against the Bush policies but I don't consider "You're being inconsistent!" or "It's all about oooooiiiiill!" to be among them, and these are the arguments that one hears most frequently.

PS I re-read the article by the arab woman that you posted earlier. It is touching but not really pertinent as most Arab woman in her situation direct their hatred at israel and jews. Of course there is truth in what she says but there is also truth in the fact that Arabs will never be able to look at israel with reason until the occupation ends and the occupation wont end until they do so. OY. mike

I just thought it was interesting - a voice that could act as bridge between the West and the Mideast (most probably Jordan from her description). As for the Arabs never looking at Israel "with reason" until the occupation ends, they never looked at Israel "with reason" before the occupation began, why should the end to occupation change anything? By now, even if there is a settlement I only expect the Palestinians to find their Shebaa Farms, a new locus of dispute.
