Your post does not refute my point. Bush has a lot of influence in congress but he does not appoint or select or have the ability to fire a Senate majority leader.

Yes, he doesn't have the legal right to appoint the Senate Majority Leader but he still gets who he wants......and that's because he is the figurative Commander in Chief of the GOP........which is what I said and which was the original basis for your disagreement and this conversation.
