For once we agree, especially about the stupid ideas about how to deal with terrorists that western countries displayed during the bad days in Lebanon (don't know they're any better, especially if I was a Christian). It was all to easy to be critical when you didn't have a real dog in the hunt. WHere we disagree is that perhaps believe the west was correct in its demands for kissing ass to the terrorists, while I believe the mistake was not to let the Philangists win the battle completely when they had the terrorists hemmed in. Had the Philange been allowed to rid Lebanon of their opponents, Syria and Iran would not be playing the role they are today in trying to destabilize the region with Katusha rockets and armaments clearly not needed for the defense of Lebanon. Doesn't matter, soon enough for Hezbolla, by 2004 they won't be around either! Your former home will be free of them, InsahSharon, peace be upon him!

moral superiority, Oh, my. It is difficult to take lectures from the French in moral superiority. After all, two countries tried to have a revolution based on the "Enlightenment." The United States succeeded. France failed. As a result the USA leads the world, while the French, kicking and screaming, follow along with everyone else, behind us. As far as "Moral Behavior" goes, we will see how the French react after the extremists among their Muslim population turn their attention to shaping up France. BTW, have I mentioned that one of the side benefits of having the USA run the world is the ascendency of the English language? Not just English, but American English. To be precise, CNN English, the "Middle West" version of American English. If any of you French need to clean up your accent, you can always turn on CNN and listen carefully. Yes, I look forward to the future with the certain knowledge that French, once believed to be the Diplomatic Language of the world, is on it's way to becoming just another "backwater" lingo.
