I mean I did not support the Vietnam War. Why not? While I had questions at the time as to whether we should have been there, my big complaint was the mismanagement. When it began I was too young to pay much attention. Not until I got a draft card and started having friends go did I take a sudden interest. I remember thinking how strange that we should be having such a difficult time with this nothing little country. In retrospect, the cause was worthwhile but the failure of our government to commit the resources to win the war was unforgivable -- particularly the actions of these weak bastards McNamara and LBJ.
