In retrospect, the cause was worthwhile but the failure of our government to commit the resources to win the war was unforgivable -- particularly the actions of these weak bastards McNamara and LBJ.

Some questions. 1) what resources were not commited that would have guaranteed a win?
2) what was Nixon's role in fixing this? meaning that, since you did not mention his name as a member of the imcopetent management that lost the war, what did he do different than his predecessors to win?

This is a joke. More soldiers and weaponry were deployed to Vietnam than were deployed to either the Gulf or Korean Wars and almost as many as in WW I.
