I don't know. Hearing more about J. Edwards and liking what I hear. Just sound bites right now......but... from poor family, self made millionaire, trial lawyer, not terribly political and committed to partisan politics etc. You might want to reconsider your opinion of this guy.

No thanks. My opinion is set.

He is a self made millionaire, and a trial lawyer (I see this as a negative...see his conduct in the Pickering confirmation hearings). "Not terribly political"...I guess that is a reference to him not caring enough to vote much in the first place. ;)

When you think about it though, exactly what are his qualifications? That he can win lawsuits and make money? As much as you bash Bush, he at least has a MBA and experience as a State Gov. What has Edwards accomplished is his Senate term...not much.

The bottom line is he is only looking to fulfill his own ambition, not do the things he says to get there. I'm not surprised he's running, as his numbers at home are slipping and there is a question he would even be able to win re-election. A lot of people are starting to see him for what he is.

However, he may be the right guy for some. If you want a smooth person that polishes well, yet stands for nothing and makes decisions based on polls, he could very well be your guy.

All IMO of course.
