Dear Goldworldnet: CONGRATULATIONS TO YOUR SON!! We need MORE youth like that today. I was in Scouting myself going all the way through Explorers, but never got to be an Eagle. We were more into camping and all and didnt pay a lot of attention to the rank, did get a few merit badges though. haha. When I was your son's age I registered for the Draft, then got scared I would be drafted and joined the USMC. It was tough but changed my whole life. Went from a lollygagging youth to disciplined soldier. Got out and graduated FIRST IN MY CLASS in a NORTHERN private college yet my ENTIRE education before was public schools in the South (not much of a reputation then). I think its safe to say the USMC was responsible for it all. JDN
