"Let me title my post: HANS BLIX REFUSES TO LEAVE BAGHDAD IN HOPES OF AVERTING WAR"

"No Room for Logic in Bush Foreign Policy." Speaking of illogic, your idea takes the cake. Furthermore Blix is in NY and plans no visit at all, last i heard.
And i take it from your quote below, you think that US did something to cause the WTC attack. I resent that. Perhaps if Hans Blix was on the roof Bin Laden would have called it off.

"If you don't wish to see innocent people die--like those who died in the Twin Towers--"

There have been any number of petitions signed by hundreds of thousands protesting impending war sent to the WH. Bush - no one else in his family, however - got the smallpox shot, supposedly. Although the threat of smallpox is even less than anthrax. Cheney is having an enormous bombshelter dynamited beneath his house apparently. They seem very intent on war, while most are opposed to war.

I liked Maurice Winn's notion that should the US persist in this pre-emptive war, Hussein would surrender his country to the UN pre-empting the pre-emptive war. No purpose will be served by attacking Iraq. Terrorists will rule.
