Cloning is a pseudo-issue scare tactic of the right-wing religiosos. Doesn't impact our society at all. I disagree. Cloning, like abortion, affects the society significantly and in such a way that it can perhaps only be described as pernicious. I think many religious folk are interested in banning abortion and cloning because they understand the moral implications of such things, unlike their atheist counterparts. Personally, I would literally not stop you at all should you even kill your own born offspring. Go into your children's and/or grandchildren's rooms and butcher them all and I would not blink an eye about it. After all, your claims they are not children are every bit as arbitrary and convenient to your purposes as claims that pre-born folks are not children. If I allow one, there is just no reason not to allow the other. So have at it. Perhaps give the kids a hug from their Uncle Johannes before you kill them. I just don't want such wicked folks to force my complicity in this mess in any dang way. So, if I can stop you from spending my tax money on that Satanic crap, then I am gonna do it. If wicked folks nevertheless override my efforts and oppress me, such that I am compelled to support their demonic acts with my life, then at least I have done all I could to stop them. The blood of the innocent is on their hands, and not mine. That is really the issue here with very many religious folks. If you folks wanna kill kids with impunity or manufacture them in diabolical ways and if you wanna do this using your own dang money, I will give less than a dang about it. But you folks have been warned repeatedly, and just chose to make fun of the warning. At your dang peril...
