Amzn mkt cap today is about half of costco and a tiny fraction of wmt.

This is an irrelevant comparison, and, pardon my tone, but in par to those of Blodget who is to be charged by NASD.

Walmart was founded over 40 years ago. It took that many years of flawless execution by Sam Walton and his team before it reached its current valuation. In the process many others failed (Kmart, Woolworth...).

Walmart is also one of the largest US corporations and one of the most fearsome retailing organizations out there. Yes, Amazon is trading at "only" a fraction of Walmart. So do 99% of other corporations and that does not make them a good buy.

I agree that Amazon has open a window of opportunity with their portal business, all the rest is bubble talk.
