Let's try this way: The moderated threads are clubhouses, particularly the moderated political threads. You have no more right to demand admission to them than to demand admission to the Lions or the Masons.

Or the Boy Scouts. They reserve the right to reject atheist/agnostic or gay scouts and scoutleaders. They reserve the right to reject females.

And it is NOT a violation of your 1st Amendment rights for them to do so or for a threadhead to ban you. Any more than you have the right to demand that his paper print your letter.

If a gov't prevents you from getting a letter printed or a post posted, THAT'S a 1st Amendment violation.

Admin Jeff can ban you from this entire site. Do you dispute his right to do so?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

That's the 1st Amendment. See "Congress"? That's who it limits. The USSC later ruled that for its limitations to be meaningful, they had to apply to all levels of gov't.

But it has never ruled they apply to internet sites.
