Ken,
the zero (and negative) refining margins were connected with the high price for natgas. Heard that natgas is an important input for refinery operations.. IPSU even bought natgas futures to offset.

usually, a higher raw price results in a better spread, but the reverse not necessarily hods true... As long as gas isn't at those levels as it was, margins shouldn'T come under pressure so easily anomre..

On Reagan, well I admire the former president. Even heard some of his famous speeches. His ideas moved the entire free world and provided a basis where even we now (at least as long as our economy prospered) draw from. Without him I guess the US would have turned a social democrat / left-wing "liberal" corner. That's his heritage.. Whenever I look at the GDP growth differentials between the US, the UK and Germany (bordering to Austria where I am located) I think of Reagan and his economic paradigm change..

You are definitely right that all the mess is created with a "good intention". There's a recent free-market book out there called "the tyranny of good intentions". Right on target I guess..

Ken,

If you could take a quick minute I would appreciate it if you could explain what it will take for the MACD on SOSA to break over 0. Is it just the current price or other factors? TIA.
