Chavez is crazy and feels that with Castro and now LULA he cannot lose.

Yikes...that is very bad if Fidel has already sent in a couple of thousand Cuban "advisors and soldiers" like he did back in Angola, only this time in America's back yard and under W's nose....I remember hearing from a "member" shortly after SAS raided the Angolan training camp early morning, took over the guard towers and used the 50 cals to mow down about 5000 Cubans, Russians and angolans as they lay in their tents. SAS didn't lose a single man in that operation..... Who could go into Venezuela to take out a couple of thousand Cubans shoring up the socialist revolution? Looks like when it rains it pours eh....Bush will have to open up another battle front....If Fidel is actively fomenting revolution again, I can't help but wonder if he is also harboring Al Queda people, money and resources? Anyone hear anything on that front?

Hi , thanks for the note.

I agree with your friend and am happy that he gave you a similar situation to my view.

But I don't think the Military will take any steps right now, unless there is another massacre, Most of them were trained and formed in the USA a few in Israel ( Now they are being trained in Cuba) our military as a general rule are Professionals, Democratic and Constitucionalists, they no longer greed for the Political Power, if we sum up to that , the OEA, EU and the USA declarations that a coup will not e acceptable, you can imagine that they will not act unless it is a VERY clear act of constitutionality. If chavez will override the Referendum they might act in protection of the Constitution, Unhappily I am worried for Chavez process of Depuration of the Army from all elements that he can not buy, and might be, there will be no one to act when the time comes ( Reminds me of the Wermacht, the Cuban army and The Russian army after the Bolchevique revolution process)

IMO Right now he doesn't control all the army yet, that is the main reason for him not declaring a State of Exemption , once the army is out of the barracks , all units armed and with ammunition, they are not controlled any more by the Corrupt Generals and Coronels , but are independent units commanded directly by , Captains , Lieutenants and Second Lft. and he is not sure how they are going to act.

Cubans more involved? right now we have thousands of them, a few Libyans, Algerians and Colombian FARC, I prey God not to be to late for Venezuela and for the Geopolitical situation in the Caribe and South America.

I would like to see what will be Lulas pat, I have the feeling and hope that he is not crazy and he will act like a NORMAL ? politician , one thing is the electoral rhetoric and another is the reality, he might very well choose to have help and a good business partner in the North, Chavez and Castro can not do anything for Brazil but for a smart guy the North American Market and Friendship is a need.

How do you see the Brazilian situation?
