It is critical to a solution for all to know what is being referred to, and for there to be adequate descriptive terms to attain a degree of conceptual precision, for example, noting the difference between a rival and an enemy. (At the moment, China is a strategic rival, but Iraq is an enemy). Sometimes, the use of common technical terms from an academic discipline (namely, international relations) is illuminating, insofar as it provides a well- considered analytical framework.......
