Everybody would still pay taxes every time they used up petrol - another US gallon, another two USD, ka-ching ... better this way, as it's voluntary, directly fixed to the amount the individual is willing to finance terrorism and stand in the way of the tech boom ... plus, think how much more simple it is, than the current fantastically complex income tax system ... there have to be major savings there, in taking the majority of the population out of that maze - just imagine if all the redundant IRS people then had their exercise bicycles rigged up to generators for the making of hydrogen, you're taking a negative and making it constructive ... huge savings in military too of course, when you stop feeding the monster, your armed forces can take it easier, say turn those aircraft carriers into square-riggers and enjoy the voyage without all the vibration and stinky exhaust ... mind you this plan is not yet definitive, still in concept stage, but cancha feel it comin' along? -g-
