Poet: I don't see a third party ever working because of the money machines of our two parties. What I want to see is accountability. Much like a business has to reduce costs when it starts losing money, every govt. dept. should be required to cut costs when revenues are reduced. Remember when the Republicans tried to cut budgets in the 90's? They were only trying to cut or slow the "increase that is built in every year, not actually cut anyone's budget. For instance, if medicare was pegged at a 12% increase in their budget, the Republicans proposed a 10% increase, they were accused of "slashing" medicare, stealing from the elderly and other such BS.
