my engineering manuals imo, you'd love it, especially if you've ever done programming and logic. Chomsky invented the field of linguistics having to do with compiler theory and building of computer languages. You quickly discover you need *exact* definitions of meanings, there is no room for error, the language or computer program won't work. Just like fuzzy math doesn't work to balance the budget<vbg>, and fuzzy commands don't work in the battlefield... Later on he began to analyze what passes for meaning in the english language as used by the media and gov't. Some of those analyses are required reading IMO before you say you disagree. And like I say, I think you'd be surprised.
