Looks like you do not believe that bonds are currently topping and that equities have much further down to go. This is where is the big risk. Your best insurance would be to eliminate the risk.

Your ideas are most interesting, I find it a fascinating subject.

People say the American dollar is "unbacked", a mere fiat currency. But surely the strength of the US fiat is its industrial capacity, its GDP potential. You say that your equities are denominated in in paper currencies. Yes ! but measured in terms of that industrial capacity (proxy = S&P500), it is CASH that is overvalued and therefore most risky ! My "gold" is the S&P 500 !
