Back in the late 90s I tried to convince Mrs. McKie to move to the north shore (nevada side) for that very reason.

And I still have a year to go for those taxes. Plenty of opportunity to lose it all.

Would that work? I think Taxifornia would say that the money was earned in CA and COUGH UP!

Just talked to my wife, who is a tax preparer (Enrolled Agent type). She says I'm right.
