I asked if you take the deduction. I do not. Therefore, my tax burden is larger than yours vis-a-vis churches (assuming you deduct it) and I have to carry the part of the expenses that provide services to that church (fire, police, military, diplomatic, regulatory). They are (you are) getting a free ride. You may like the free ride, but it is a free ride. I get no benefit from your church. I do get benefit from the Church of the Cosmic Force. But I have to carry your church. You don't have to carry mine. That certainly makes yours more "established" than mine.
