Don't forget the Gambinos, too. The real downside of hanging around Sicily the past 2200 years — somebody's always trying to muscle in on your turf. Some Carthaginians get whacked out over on the East side and next thing you got them Romans, the Vandals, those pansy Goths, Spaniards, even the Feds coming in and pushing you around. And that schmuck Phil "da Fifth" V, with that Utrecht thing handing out Sicily like some bridge in Brooklyn. It's tough out on the streets, I tell ya.

"So that means France and Spain should be returned to the Basques?"

>>So that means France and Spain should be returned to the Basques?<<

Seems to me that this argument actually undercuts the Zionist argument. Which I don't buy. I do support Israel as a fait accompli, which I wish to survive, but your argument about Basques is too intelligent for me to believe in Zionism.

It also undercuts the Palestinian "right to return," as well, so it's what they call a double-edged sword.

Double edged sword isn't exactly right, what is meant is a weapon that you have to be careful picking up because you can cut yourself, but you pick up swords by the handle, and sword handles don't cut.

I can't think of a fancy, legal sounding argument for "it's mine and you'll take it away over my dead body and my buddies, too."

You see? It is quite absurd.
