Dont make Pickering out to be some saint. His re-nomination is a bone thrown to the far right of the south. He's at least a Trent Lott type. But we haven't seen him appearing on BET. gg And he's a strident anti-abortionist. A radical really in that area. Another bone thrown to the religious right by Bush.

Small bet he comes out of committee , to the floor and gets the nomination and Hillary and company go nuts.

On one of the shows on msnbc said this fight had nothing to do with race it is all about abortion.. Does anyone have an update to that line ofreasoning. I believe it was on Chris Matthews show.
