sadly I think the Davis damage has been maximized irrespective of whether he stays his term or not.

The one small incremental piece of good that might come out of this is the removal of some of these stupid programs (like that sacbee link) and closing of some proposition 13 loopholes for when title changes hands.

You have no proof he lied of extorted anything. and Simon had all kinds of nasty scandals no one could deny. Hang it up. Davis is no angel but he's a tough cookie, a moderate, war hero and most people want him as governor. Mainly because the alternative is worse. That's what the November vote spelled out loud and clear. But the only reason Davis has such high negatives was the massive negative campaign waged against him, partially paid for by Enron and their cronies, the very ones who ripped us off so badly. And did Simon ever come out against the energy crooks? Never. Because he too is in bed with them. so who's the real crooked candidate? Davis has a strong environmental record, one of the strongest in the world. SO maybe or maybe not he let Tosco dump something. I dunno. I haven't seen proof. Only in Simon's negative ads. Maybe there's an explanation. But even if there isn't that one item doesn't stack up at all against the overwhelming rape and pillahging done by the energy companies with the full support of Bush-Cheney. And by omission, Simon, since he never brought it up to my knowledge. Oh, and next time vote for the GOP moderate in the primary. You'll have better luck.
