All those rules are fine. I still think it's possible that a b wave can rise above the start of a. Perhaps you misread it.

I can't see the chiefs count, it doesn't come up. (In deference to Shack this will be my last comment on da chief.) He charges for his services and if you ask him something for free on the net he may not say what he really thinks. That's just speculation on my part but it's something to consider.
Just as velo is secretive about his outlook. If you give away the milk for free.....

Supercycle bear?
I think it's entirely possible that the bear market could be a wave four of some degree. Perhaps even a 4 of three with the bull from the 80's as three of three, if you think about it it seems to fit the description(Prechter has many sound reasons why he thinks it was a five but it's too much to bring up now). The "hundred year bear" counts and other things are possible also but definitely not a sure thing.

There are many ultra bearish ewave guys but it is my opinion that their bearishness is based on feelings about valuation and not wave structure. When you start talking about impulse waves that are decades or centuries long there is a lot of margin for error and I don't think anyone can be absoulutely sure. We can't even agree on 60 minute charts most of the time...ng..

Just as many thought y2k was going to be the end of world many thought the year 1000 was the end of civilization. The barbarians were overrunning rome and at the time it was believed to be the end of the world. Perhaps it's a common human failing to believe that whatever dark times we have is "the big one".

Imagine the benefits to society and to stock prices should we perfect cold fusion. Or have a break through in interstellar space travel or perhaps medicine that extend's the human life span by 50 or 100 years. Maybe we find a way to terra form mars very quickly in say 50 years, colonize the ocean? None of these things are impossible and at some point in the future they are all probable, perhaps in our lifetimes. The internet is small potatoes comparatively.
