Charles,

If you want some reading, try this if you haven't seen it already.

cl.cam.ac.uk

Keyword being DRM.

theregister.co.uk

infoworld.com

People should all read the newer EULA that pop up on the screen when you do a Windows update. Just don't click "ok".....

And search groups.google.com for microsoft eula drm

I got to sign off.......helicopter is comin'

Charles,

I was researching HDTV systems this week and I found out that there's an emerging DVI standard for these Tvs that's wholy owned by Intel and they are very stingy about licensing it to anyone else besides TV manufacturers.

You mean something that's different from regular DVI? Do you have any links to the info you came across?

Joe

Well, that's creepy.

Typical of the outfit that inspired and supported Rambus.

I wonder if IBM has decided that it's time to put the Genie back in its bottle. That might be why IBM is providing AMD with the support it needs to knock out Intel's attempt to establish IA-64 as the next computing standard.
