I would characterize that sentiment as the understandable consequence of an unprovoked attack on our country. Our attacking Saddam Hussein and setting the Iraqis free of him isn't the same thing as destroying entire countries. That corner of the world needs to come out of the middle ages. It will propagate hatred as long as they are following such despots. Now THAT's hatred for you. They aren't even coy about it.

I also understand the frustration of some of our posters who ridicule opposing ideas. They have been exhausted trying to persuade with reason. You have to admit some people making absurd attacks on the president and this country are way out in left field. They never change their spots, and some people feel that it is simpler to write hahahaha than try to talk sense into them.

I would characterize the urge to destroy entire countries that "oppose" us as hatred. I'm sure you've seen the "nuke 'em all" posts; I object to that sentiment.
