Charles,

What do you mean by "Real HDTV"? There are number of modes. HBO and Showtime use 1080 interlaced, so do CBS, NBC (I am not sure about ABC, they started with 720p but they are switching to 1080i) on some of their programming. I believe Fox is initially going only with 480 progressive. I have all these + UPN (which is extremely flaky) + PBS - not real one, they are just running some demo feeds - mostly beautiful documentaries and travel related shows they have in their library.

Joe

in canada you can get HDTV for only $14.95 CDN extra a month (or $5 extra if you already have their digital box).

shoprogers.com

they claim "up to 1080 interlaced scan lines" plus the usual good stuff like 5.1 channel audio. I bet you don't get time shifting though.

channelwise you can get: CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS, Viewer’s Choice Pay Per View, The Movie Network*
