You are aware, I'm sure of all the recent scientific work that has placed a much stronger influence with the genes than with the environment.

TAW knows more about Nature than self-righteous JP. So, surprising the entire RWE community. It could be viewed as a humiliation, but I'm sure jp will manage...it may help him eventually solve his personal dilemma.

An interesting - though facile - argument, that unfortunately falls on it's face mathematically.

Else homosexuality would have disappeared from the species millions of years ago... and from the numerous other species in which stable rates of homosexuality have been documented as well.

It is possible though, that the *expression* of certain genetic sequences is influenced *in utero* by nutritional or hormonal, or other, factors... and this could account for the continued expression of homosexuality in a given species... despite presumed lower rates of reproduction.

Well yeah. I agree that nurture is very powerful and that it could overcome quite a lot. And your point about a fairly ambiguous inclination being overcome by nurture is very well put. Come to think of it, even a fairly rigid biological inclination can likely be overcome with nurture. I share your concern about children and homosexual “education.”
