Sure you do. As long as the military is tied down to a chair with duct tape over its mouth, and does your bidding, the way you feel it should. What is the difference between your definition of how the military should proceed, and how we allowed the military to proceed in Nam? We shouldn't get in unnecessary wars, but when we are in one, we should allow the military fight it as it sees fit. We are in a war now, quit trying to tie the military's hands behind its back. If it takes defeating Iraq to fight effectively in the middle east, then we should do it.
