This question: Are you claiming the "occupied territories" are not actually "occupied" but are now within the boundaries of the country we call "Israel" and the people inhabiting those lands, including those of Palestinian origin, are now Israeli citizens? Message 18439008 ... was to your statement: The Palestinians want back the land that Israel conquered. Message 18438992 ... which came before it. In the same post, you ask "What is the basis of their claim to the land, if not history?", which you build on the preceding statement that Palestinians want the land Israel conquered. My question is about this preceding statement. There is no point trying to answer a question built on a premise I am questioning, is there? (another question <g>) But maybe you don't know the answer, just as you didn't know the answer about the Geneva Convention? Are you trying to make me spend an hour on writing down the privileges of a POW that are different than the conditions in which the detainees are now living just to prove to you that I "know the answer"? Sorry.
