No, I think it should be fettered. As I said, I think the system works well. I would fight just like you and put my faith in the system, as it has reversed a number of questionable convictions.

But I know that the thousands of people who research DP cases every day have not found a proven innocent who has been executed. Does that mean one doesn't exist? No. Does it mean none has been found? Yes. So until one has been found, I'll consider my statement accurate.

I admire your conviction to this issue though, if it were you that was convicted and sentenced to death even though you were innocent, I am sure that you would say..."screw the appeals, think of all the people I am saving by encouraging an unfettered death penalty".
