Thanks for the links to those polls. I flipped around in them and after a bit of getting used to, they are interesting. However, I looked for and couldn't find some sort of obvious questions which were asked in each year, something that would permit comparisons as to how views changed.

I was looking for questions with the exact same wording. I admit to not having dug too deeply but did not spot any.

Do you, offhand, know of any? Don't spend any serious time looking because, if you don't already know, it would take some effort.

Very good data you found there Frank!! Thanks for posting it...

Of particular note, I found it interesting that in some years when the question was asked, up to 75% of Palestinians perceived Israeli democracy at least fair, with the majority stating it was good or very good....

But then we have the 2002 poll where they are asked if Palestinian christians should be permitted to be elected president of any palestinian state, and the majory stated no..
