Au contraire it deters murderers from ever being able to kill again...IMO this is the only valid reason for state execution, not revenge, simple protection of society. In your opinion, is the possibility of innocent people being executed, the possibility that (an) innocent person(s) have been executed, a worthwhile price for this questionable benefit? I don't feel especially safe, despite the existence of the death penalty. Do you? (Of course you do.) Now we have DNA testing guilty people will be found guilty beyond any doubt. LOL. LPS5
