Please consider that a group of people asking for a country of their own on the land they consider their home do not care for how many other countries there are on this planet populated by people genetically similar to themselves.

Please consider that Jordan ALREADY represents a geographic national state (with a port) that represents a "homeland" being that it's population already represents 75-80% of that country's total.

There is something more than merely being a state at work here. The West Bank is economically non-viable as an independent entity. They have no port, except for Gaza which requires transit via Israel, and it is MUCH smaller than Jordan.

Certainly more than just being desirous of having their own country.. After all, they apparently were content to be Jordanian citizens until Arafat came around and convinced them they were a unique nationality.

And as a corollary, please consider that a group of people who already have a country of their own do not care about the aspirations of a people who are content to target them with suicide attacks, and they certainly aren't going to sacrifice their security to groups like your describing..
