I was talking about late term abortions but I did also make a comment about abortion in general

Aren't "Partial Birth Abortions", by definition, late-term? The description of the procedure is barbaric, and I could never comprehend even the most extreme liberals supporting it; it was strange to me even that Clinton and Gore supported it.

But I think the term as commonly used always involves a viable fetus. I could be wrong, however.

I was talking about late term abortions but I did also make a comment about abortion in general. A majority are against late term abortions. Only a minority are against abortions in general being illegal but my comment was the minority was strong enough that it was part of the mainstream rather then some far out fringe view.

How would you define an idea as being "part of the mainstream" or "out of the mainstream"?

When its the prevailing view.........for an example, I think the prevailing view in this country is against late term abortions.
