Can't trust the americans(plausible premise), can't trust the iraqis(point of fact), then perhaps trust the UN inspectors and Hans Blix (clearly not pro-american).

That's what we are doing. They have not found any weapons yet, have they now?

Well, let me ask a hypothetical question. Under what conditions would there be sufficient cause to go to war in iraq?

That's easy. If they got hostile and attacked (or threatened to attack) others - something they have not done in the past decade.

>>>But you quote an iraqi official's words as if it was gospel.<<<

No, I do not. But think of the facts. Would this statement be made with the box now in control of the UN inspectors? Remember, the inspectors indeed inspect the condition of the box. Scott Ritter, himself a former UN weapons inspector, has sources too and the sealed aspect, the expiration aspect of the weapons is confirmed. Think. Why was the 12th rocket separate ly reported from the 11? My guess is it wasn't in the same box.

Frankly, to debate this right now is moot as we'll eventually get the whole picture. One of the points I was making is we don't get the full story, instead we're more apt to get the slant of the story before the full story appears. One reason why this happens is due to the tv networks each trying to outscoop the other.
