But, in many cases, the old favourites are still great picks ... example - nine months ago i sell Minefinders back to freebies, look at the chart, you'll see that's just before the steep part of the rise, lol .... ok but let's say with better timing, i theoretically get them off in June at 6.40 or something - late in July i can buy mfl under 4.00, and through early August it is trending up, improving its chart nicely ..... meantime, given my confidence both in mfl's fundamentals and the imminence of further PoG improvement, it looks like it should be in the collection - Should i consider this a new trade, ignoring the old freebies which are tucked away, and try the same procedure over again? Same with Corner Bay, which for years has had clear value to it, and made a good vehicle for trading the PoAg .... and which i've been lucky enough to trade in and out of since '98 .... just using these two for examples, recently sold some of each of them One thing that's hard is to buy back what you've sold at a higher price ..... which i've done with mfl twice, and bay once, man did that feel stupid, but the mistakes had been made on the previous sales, not the buys, which turned out quite well .... so while it's good to stay open to new picks, sometimes the old ones stay great too If he can't accept this just give him the old line, young man when you're my age you'll understand -g- On the other thing - i swore off talking about that .... tooo much angst among certain aggrieved holders, partly, also with my best source of info on the company i haven't had a lot of contact lately ... then it just became a habit not to even keep up with developments much, beyond skimming the news etc ... generally i think that as a non-gold, it will be swimming against the tide this year if it wants to head north .... but, haven't sold any more, too stubborn [sold purchases from late '01 and early '02 last spring, as posted above] .... so i dunno, don't think about it much really .... if it had much of a run i'd be a seller probably, that wouldn't be a comment on management or its eventual prospects, just a reflection of my perception of near-term market realities .... golds are the thing, until this coming summer or longer, perhaps much longer ... imho ... cheers
