David,

I saw William Gates, Sr on CNBC today.
Almost made me hurl listening to him repeat the same you're rich because you are lucky crap. He was promoting his book. Announcer wouldn't ask him any "fair" questions. He just let the rant go.

I'm sure his new book will sell almost as many copies as Algore's.

Steve

Is there some problem if this is the case?
The point was that disparities in opportunity don't dissapear on their own. That is why corrective affirmative action is required to resolve the past racially motivated disparities. It's not a stable situation and dragging it out another 50 years will be to nobody's advantage.

I don't know for sure, and went out on a limb a bit, but I don't think that scale of wealth disappears easily. Various Mellon and Rockefeller descendants spring up in the news periodicly, but never once has the story been that they are scrounging.

Is there some problem if this is the case? If I manage to make a billion dollars in my lifetime, legally, and choose to leave it to my children, is there some reason I shouldn't be able to do just that?

Once again, O Wise One, you've missed the point and interjected yourself into something you don't understand so you can spout your bs......excuse me, I meant your wisdom.

Of course silly. According to Ted, you are a racist, if you don't leave as much to the children of minorities, as you leave to your own. What kind or racist are you anyway, preaching stuff like that; favoring ones kids over minorities. Hanging is too good for you.
