Thanks for the Mauldin piece. It reinforces my belief that first we get a whiff of deflation. Longer term the aughts will remind us of the '70s. The biggest difference from the '70s is (and will continue to be) the exported deflation from Asia. The net effect (IMO) is a much lower dollar.
