But more importantly there is social mobility upwards. Look at the richest people in the US. Many of them did not come from a wealthy background.

You keep saying that but its not true. Most rich people inherit their money and don't make it on their own. A recent study ended that American myth.

Isn't it interesting how you must be abstract. I know of no member of he Rockefeller or Mellon families who fit your speculation.

It can happen, Andrew Carnegie had the same order of wealth at approximately the same time. By his choice, he gave nearly all away.
