I don't think you can get to that ideal situation until past injustices have been remedied or at least have gone a long way toward remedy.

Most of the past victims are beyond remedy and most of the past perpetrators are beyond punishment.

Trying to provide your remedy will only cause people to focus on race and to fight about it. It will keep you from ever reaching that ideal situation.


Your position assumes that racism ends with the victim but just like alcoholism and other dysfunctions, its passed down one generation to the next.

Problems like racism are noticeable because of the way they affect groups of people more than individuals. I don't think you can sucessfully remedy each individual, but you can produce a group result which limits the discrimination in the future.
