The primary difference between Japan and China is their completely different capacities for change. Japan has proven itself to be incapable of facing the need for change. China, on the other hand, changes so quickly that it is hard to keep up with what they are doing. Things that take 20 years in Japan get done in 20 days in China. Japan makes the biggest mistake of all by doing nothing. China plunges forward and tries to fix the inevitable mistakes after the fact. Anybody who thinks these two countries deal with issues in a similar fashion probably has no real experience with either of them.
