Lindy comments that commonly organizers of anti-war protests are Socialists.

No. Here's what LindyBill posted:
#reply-18462586 <And these "Anti-War" Fronts are almost all Socialists>
I showed that this statement is wrong. If you have to resort to calling such a refutation "absurd reductionism" that's your business.

JJ, you surprise me. I did not expect you to quote me out of context by leaving off the end of the phrase. I Posted,(Bolded for what you left off.)

And these "Anti-War" Fronts are almost all Socialists at the activist core.

Not a fair way to treat me, JJ.

A "front," in the context that Lindy was using it, and I was using it, is an organization that pretends to be one thing but is really another.

As I demonstrated, many people who are anti-war are aware that International Answer is a front for International Action, which is a front for the World Worker's Party. To their credit, the organizers don't try to hide that fact, they just leave it obscure.

During the Vietnam war era, one of the biggest organizers of anti-war demonstrations was the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), which was developed from the youth league of an older socialist organization, the League for Industrial Democracy. I used to hang out with the local chapter of the SDS, and can vouch for the fact that they were nominally socialists.

By showing me that the Pope or any other person was/is anti-war but not socialist, you did not refute the fact that many front organizations are/were socialist.
