Anyone can achieve "proportional representation" without dealing with the real problems.

If the correction (or discrimination depending on your view) is proportional to the distance from the goal, then the corrective factor becomes less as the measured results approach the goal, ultimately to zero or whatever threshold has been decided upon. This is a pretty standard technique in American business usually going under the name Goal Oriented Process. You'll love the acronym.

Which is exactly why I am now mad at you. All of you high flaluting Asians teaching your kids the value of discipline hard work and study. Now you have had the timmerity to go off and get all of the best grades and scholarships. Now, when my kids graduate with their 3.25s they are just average compared to your 4.o And just who gets the best jobs. What kind of racists are you anyway?

P. S. Just kidding, I needed to get a Ted like rant in there. Racism is in the eye of the beholder.
