>>>you of course have every right to disagree<<<

Consider us both members of the Mutual Admiration Society--lol!

>>>but you're wrong<<<

I don't think so.

>>>he is a loose cannon<<<

And I happen to think Bush is a loose cannon and that without the influence of Powell we'd be in deeper muck than the muck we're about to step into.

>>>he should not access to have WMD<<<

Should anyone?

>>>the rest of the world might still want to buy another decade of his deceitful sidestepping game 'I have no weapons of mass destruction, nor am I trying to amass any', but the US has had enough of it<<<

The US should lead by example. It doesn't, and hurts more nations than it helps--especially in the Third World countries.

>>>watching him, checking up on him, is a time, money and resource drainer<<<

Me thinks we could take every dollar we spent in the past Gulf War, every dollar we're now spending in the current buildup and make millionaires, or at least assure family self-sufficiency, for each Israeli and Palestinian citizen, and those folks might be partying instead of warring with each other.

>>>he has a proven record of war and aggression OUTSIDE his borders<<<

He went against Iran with US urging, with US intelligence and with US weaponry (including WMD); he went into Kuwait when the US ambassador stated the US has no interest in how the region defined itself (Iraq compalining the Bristish-drawn boundary lines landlocked Iraq and that maps dating to 1899 showed Kuwait part of the Basara Province). The US ambassador, April Glaspie, could have stopped this--but didn't.

Where else has he invaded and why was the US connected in each instance?

>>>if the people of Iraq choose to live under his regime, so be it - however the rest of the world shouldn't have to worry and wonder what his next move will be - take away his destructive toys and he can play anything he likes in his Iraqi sandbox<<<

That's not a bad idea. But the US, among others, have been selling weaponry all over the world for a very long time. The world is locked and loaded! Yes, he's a dictator but this has never bothered the US before, as dictators favoring US policies--especially ones raping natural resources from the earth--have been in favor for the US pretty much the entire previous century.

And, frankly, I wait and worry what the US next move might be. Don't you?

>>>btw, the US is not the world authority, but it gets a tiresome when we are asked to intervene after the fact<<<

After the fact? What has Iraq done?

>>>and don't think for one minute the middle east does not want the US there - they all want their oil supply safe from aggressive neighbors - they want us there as a silent threatening presence, to be brought out when it is to their benefit and their benefit only - can't have your cake and eat it too<<<

Me thinks there are better history books for you to read, Foxlette. Please do name me a Mid East nation that currently supports war in Iraq. I'm not aware of any.
