Robert (Bob) Baer is the CIA former agent Read the book last year. He got "Sandwiched" by the Clinton NSC people over his work with the Kurds in Iraq and was lucky to be able to retire with his head still on. Great guy and book.

Just such a shame that Anthony Lake put Baer on the hotseat... Lake was(is) a weenie.. I still remember a buddy of mine with State who was involved in the Haiti fiasco... He was disgusted with Lake's policies... I also watched that History Channel expose.. Funny thing is that Bob Baer definitely reminded me of this guy I knew who worked for Diplomatic Security.. Very straight up, down to earth, and introspective... Hardly the "cowboy image" that everyone else saw them as.. The CIA has really gained a reputation for bureaucratic lethargy... The real action (if we can call it that) is with DIA, where they have access to military units.. Hawk
